Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife SanctuaryThe Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary lies on the eastern border of Goa. Earlier called the Mollem Game Sanctuary, it was later renamed as Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. The largest of all the wildlife sanctuaries in Goa, it covers an area of approximately 240 square kilometers. Thanks to its luxuriant vegetation that it was declared a sanctuary in the year 1969.

Bondla Wildlife SanctuaryThe Bondla wildlife sanctuary is spread over an area of 8 square kilometers. Because of the fact that it is very small in size, the Bondla wildlife sanctuary is better known as a wildlife resort. This sanctuary was initially set up a refuge for orphaned and injured animals. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary Salim Ali bird sanctuary in Goa is a paradise for bird lovers. It is home to a large variety of local, as well as migratory birds. Its name has been derived from the name of a famous Indian ornithologist, Dr. Salim Ali. This is the smallest amongst all the bird sanctuaries in Goa, covering an area of approximately 1.8 square kilometers.

Cotigao Wildlife SanctuaryThe Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the Goa-Karnataka border. Being the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Goa, it is spread over an area of 86 square kilometers. The park was designated as a sanctuary in the year 1969.
