Goa, the queen of beaches, is a renowned destination for fun and frill, relaxing vacations and water sport activities. Besides, Goa's famous and magnificent churches are largely a legacy of Portuguese colonization. Churches in Goa are known for its sophisticated architecture. They were the result of the Portuguese invasion in Goa, as church building was one of the main occupations of the early Portuguese. These beautiful and magnificant religious places attract lakhs of pilgrims every season from all over the globe. Many of them are declared World Heritage Monument, as these are a perfect blend of typical Catholic and Portuguese architecture.
